Serac

A traditional free-standing construction with a large vestibule for storing packs, etc. Both the left and right triangular entrance can be used, or both can be opened at once.

The tent’s flysheet is made of Polyester with a polyurethane coating, giving a water column of 4,000 mm. Seams are fully taped to protect against leakage.

The groundsheet is made of laminated, Rip-Stop treated Polyethylene.

The poles are made up of laminate segments with a diameter of 8.5 mm.

The tent is double-skinned consisting of an inner tent and flysheet. The inner tent has a rectangular floor plan with an entrance on its longer side. The outer tent has a triangular vestibule on the entrance side, suitable for storing packs, etc.

The entrance can be half-opened on the left or right side, or both sides at the same time. This option is useful when cooking, for example, to easily create the required windbreak.

There is a vent at the top of the flysheet dome. Vent covers are designed so that they are not affected by the wind and can be closed with Velcro fasteners if necessary. This prevents leaks during rain with strong winds.

Pitching the tent

Use the hooks to suspend the inner tent from the crossed pole structure and insert the ends of the poles into the metal grommets in the corners of the floor. Pull the flysheet over the structure and insert the pole tensioning the vestibule into the perforated sleeve, then insert into the grommets and stretch to form an arch. Attach the Velcro fasteners on the underside of the flysheet to the poles. Fasten the plastic buckles on the bottom edge of the flysheet and pull the flysheet taut. Anchor the tent with pegs and guy ropes.
