Tents
- If possible, do not expose the tent to prolonged UV radiation - for all tents
- Only store the tent when it is completely dry. After use, residual moisture remains in the fabric, so always let the tent dry as soon as possible, preferably in a dry room. If you store a damp tent, there is a risk of damage to the fabric - for all tents
- Intense UV radiation has a negative effect on the lifespan of synthetic fabrics. The outer shell of the tent is therefore equipped with UV protection, which eliminates the effects of radiation. In order to extend the lifespan, we recommend renewing the UV protection of the outer shell fabric from time to time. Products for renewing the UV protection of fabrics are available in specialized stores. - for all tents
- Set up the tent with the bedroom and fly entrances closed. Otherwise, there is a risk of damage to the surrounding fabric and zippers of the tent. - For tents that can be pitched without a bedroom
- Family tents with a fibreglass structure should be pitched by several people - lifting the flysheet with only one pole may damage it.
- Do not pitch tents without a suitable protective sheet (groundsheet) in places where you could damage the bedroom floor (e.g., on gravel).
- In adverse weather conditions, use additional anchoring with anchor ropes.
- We recommend wrapping the ends of steel tent poles in protective material (e.g., bubble wrap) during transport – without additional packaging, there is a risk of damage to the rest of the tent by the steel poles – steel tents.
Sleeping mats
- Do not leave the sleeping mat fully inflated at higher temperatures - for all sleeping mats
- Do not expose the sleeping pad to prolonged UV radiation - for all sleeping pads
Furniture
- The edges of table tops (kitchen) are not protected against prolonged exposure to high humidity (e.g., rain) - they become loose - Table M, Table XL, Furniture Set, Kitchen S, L, XL.
- When transporting, protect table tops (kitchen) from damage by placing and packing them appropriately.
- When lifting or sitting down in a chair, do not transfer your full weight to the backrest (handles) - this will damage the highly stressed parts of the chair - Fisher Chair, Pocket Chair
- The legs of the chair should be evenly loaded - stand on an equally hard surface (i.e., if one leg of the chair is standing in soft clay and the other three on asphalt, the chair will not be loaded evenly, and some parts of the chair will be loaded more than others). This also applies to the overall use of chairs on soft surfaces - it is not possible to achieve an even load - Fisher Chair, Pocket Chair, Climber Stool
- Do not expose to prolonged UV radiation (fabric)
Trekking poles
- When using in winter, we recommend disassembling the poles after each use, cleaning them with a slightly damp cloth, and treating the inner surface of the duralumin parts with silicone oil after drying - all except Compact FL Foam
- With compact poles, the adjustment screw on the end (lower) segment may occasionally come loose - this is not a defect - you can put the poles back into operation by screwing the end screw back in.
