Ripstop

This is a fabric manufacturing technology used in the rainflies of Extreme series tents and inner tents of Extreme and Hiking series, designed to increase resistance to mechanical damage while reducing weight. At regular intervals, thicker threads are woven crosswise and lengthwise into the rainfly material, forming a grid that prevents further tearing if the fabric is ripped.
